I've always felt that I never truly explained why I started Voir L’Avenir. I've always believed that things either make you or break you, and the obstacles I went through to get to Voir L’Avenir made me see things from a different perspective, both as a person and a fashion designer.
During the months I was away from the fashion industry, I had time to reflect on what I had done and what I wanted my future to look like within fashion. I felt like I was gravitating towards more of a graphic designer than a fashion designer, which started to cause confusion within myself. In these moments, I had doubt and a hazy vision that caused uncertainty about my next steps.
In these moments, I really had to visualize where I wanted my future to be and where I wanted to steer my path. Was it going to be typical streetwear, or was I going to embark on the luxury journey, which I have been fascinated with since I was young? I have always had an eye for the intricacies of silhouettes and designs, especially within luxury fashion.
This is why I started Voir L’Avenir. I wanted to make people feel like luxury when they wore our products. For me, Voir L’Avenir is a representation for those who possess a clear sense of what they desire but, like myself, found themselves shrouded in uncertainty, akin to grey clouds blocking their vision. It's all about envisioning the future and having a crystal-clear view of one’s aspirations.
I have always said that to see something, you must have a reference point. So, what I mean by this is if your sights are set on success, there must be references all around you that connect to that success. All you've got to do is connect the dots.
