Timing is everything - Buck Brannaman
This drop has been all about timing from the start. I originally started planning this collection in 2021, but sampling and action started in August 2022. I knew from the start exactly how I planned to execute from the product to the shoot.
The first part of the process was deciding on the fabrics and sampling like every other product I do. This was different I had to implement new steps in terms of washing the product to understand if fabric quality is tampered with or if the product even shrinks.
After these procedures took place and the correct changes were made it moved onto the production stage which went fairly smoothly but again this is not a quick and easy process this is where it comes down to timing, as I originally planned to release the Rebellious Uniform on the 2nd anniversary but it would be rushed and everything wouldn't have come out as it has.
For me, every step was taken at the right time to ensure the level of quality I set for Voir L'Avenir was achieved. And this came down to understanding I do not need to rush and that all this was displayed in our work.
